Pictures

I have a set of pictures that are exactly the same.  I got them at Target on clearance for a few dollars, many years ago.

The entire picture, frame included, seems to be well made.  The back is completely protected with paper along with a description of the type of painting it is.

The label states that it is an Impressionist Landscape, by Marilyn Hageman.  It also says Marilyn Hageman captures the sensation of movement in even the seemingly still subjects of flowers and trees.  Reminiscent of her major artistic influences, Claude Monet and Mary Cassatt, Marilyn florals are as representational as they are impressionistic.  Framed in a traditional ridged molding with a white rubbed finish and single mat in white-plaster color, year 1999. You can always find quality stuff at Target for great prices.  At my old house, I displayed these three in an upstairs hallway where no one would notice they were identical.  Here, in my new home I have yet to put them anywhere except in storage, until now.  Some of you may remember the post I did on deco mesh garland here

The garland was ivory with gold threads.  I really didn't have anything that complimented the garland except an old sponge painting I did a long time ago and some ivory candles.  Since the frames on the pictures were ivory, I decided to cover the impressionist landscape with pictures I found online.

    What a change, huh?

BEFORE

AFTER
I can switch out the look just by printing different pictures and temporally covering the impressionist landscape.  What a wonderful idea!

Enjoy!

  2. Gail, this is so clever. So clever in fact that I stopped reading to look at some framed prints hanging upstairs to do this. I love that leaf you made for your pumpkin - very creative. I did wonder why in the world did you not have any purple until I discovered your glitzy purple pumpkin!
