For "The Great Glitzy Craft-Off", I've made a tealight candle holder out of spoons and I've glued sea shells to a ceramic candle holder and next . . .
. . . . I'm going to . . .
Does this look familiar? I put my left-over shells
in one of those bags that
has onions in it you get from the grocery store. What a beautiful orange color!!!
Sorry, I got off track!
. . . . glue sea shells to the base of a food cover tent!!!!
It was pretty easy using my glue gun. Just glue and stick the shells around the base of the tent.
The picture from Z Gallerie
is very different from the usual food covering tent. It appears to be a
deep tan or gold and is well made and very sturdy. The sea shells add a
decorative effect that's quite appealing.
A few years ago the food tents were quite the novelty . . . cheap and plentiful in the stores. I think everyone bought one back then. I found mine packed away - among the things we don't use anymore. I was happy to bring it back to life by adding the shells.
I've had more fun re-creating some of the Z Gallerie items and I hope you've had fun reading about it, too!!! A very special thanks to Lisbonlioness and Sunny, such FABULOUS BLOGGERS!!!
No way! This is a dead ringer for the original, and it goes so well with the hacked candlestick! Aren't you clever, I love what you've made so far with an absolute passion. People will beg to come round to your place for garden parties!
ReplyDeleteThanks! You are too funny! I enjoy reading your blogs!
DeleteOh you so nailed it....again! I love this! You can't believe how hard I tried to find one of those food cover screens to do this! Awesome job and I'm envious!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. Your words are very encouraging! I'm so glad I found your blog!
DeleteFantastic! Great minds think alike- I was going to do this later this week! You're really raising the bar here! I think your take on the table tent came out wonderfully beachy, with the just the right smattering of shells.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Great for eye candy for having outdoor parties. Mrs. Snags you seem to be quite the Martha Stewart of Crafts.
ReplyDeleteGail, lovely work!:) Thank you also for your message, I replied but I am not sure if it will land in your inbox so here is a copy of my letter in response to yours: Thank you so much Gail! I love your idea, I am "in". My profile picture situation was the same as yours yesterday until Sunny suggested to me to make sure my " show my email" setting was turned on within my blog page. I went to edit profile and checked the box regarding email, saved settings and magically my photo appeared.:) Try it and let me know if that works for you. Also thank you for your photo suggestions, what wonderful suggestions! My 15 year old son loves to snap photos and he turned me onto Instagram just the other day. I have been tinkering around with it and now I feel confident enough to post some new blogs. Let me know what you think. I will also add u to my follow list. Lets keep in touch. :) -Cassandra

Did you know that you are a "no-reply" blogger and I can't respond to your comments by email? (and I really want to!) You can change that in your settings, unless you don't want to.
ReplyDeleteThanks. No I didn't know. I looked at "settings" and can't figure out what I should be clicking on. I don't see a "no-reply" anywhere. And I've googled the question in trying to find out. I also googled why is there a black triangle with an exclamation mark where my picture should be. Can't figure that out either. I'm just not computer savy.
