My son, Adam, is a writer. He's been writing short stores since he was in middle school. His grandmother captured this in a painting she did of him with our dog, Tiffany. The painting is huge - forty inches wide by thirty inches tall. My home is filled with lots of her awesome paintings!  I have this painting hanging in our computer room. My mother-in-law loved creating purple paintings for me, too. She was so talented and creative. She encouraged Adam to write, and she was the one who got me into crafting, too.
Each Christmas I try to give Adam something I know he would appreciate that pertains to writing, in one way or another. I've compiled a list of gifts for writers for our second day of gift guides for our Festive Christmas Ideas Blog Hop.

Welcome back to Day Two of Gift Guides - If you missed Day One, it can be found here.

For this Festive Christmas Blog Hop we've team up with a group of talented blogging friends to bring you a plethora of creative ways to celebrate your holiday season.

We will be baking cookie recipes for you, sharing party games, making  handmade gifts, and ornaments, and sharing our Christmas movies family fun. There will be breakfast recipes and as always, our decorated Christmas Trees.

New this year is Gift Guides. We are right there with you shopping from home due to Covid 19 and we understand how hard that can be so we have been busy little Elves doing tons of research to create fabulous Gift Guides to help you with your holiday shopping.

You will find new ideas every Monday and Wednesday between Oct. 19th through Nov. 18th. Scroll all the way down to find all the ideas linked at the end.

Gift Guide for Writers
There are endless writer gift ideas out there. For this list, I've selected some of the best low budget gifts any writer would love to receive.

Writer's Cap - add an extra touch to their look as a writer!

Coffee Mugs for Writers - Every writer needs the perfect mug. And there are so many amazing sayings and designs that will fit any type of writer.

Novel Teas - is guaranteed to keep any writer warm and cozy while they’re putting down their thoughts - especially in a new mug, too!

Writer's T-Shirts - Every writer needs a writing T-shirt. Whether they always write in it or wear it proudly in public, they all need at least one!  And most are very funny.

Notebook/Journals Although everyone uses computers, many writers prefer paper and pen for jotting down their thoughts and ideas. Here's an awesome journal to give.

LED Pen - Who doesn’t sometimes need to get their thoughts down without turning the light on? Comes with a LED light that illuminates the page as you write. Perfect for those late night ideas that come while trying to sleep!

Door Knob Hanger for Writers at Work - If you know a writer who doesn’t get enough alone time for writing, hanging this sign on the door to their office or bedroom might help.

Writer's Key Chain - A unique way of carrying important keys!

Candle for Writer's Block - what better way to get your writer inspired than by gifting them a variety of candles? They have a soothing way of invoking different emotions and feelings. Perfect for getting in the mood.

BookMarks - are a writer's best friend - a fantastic tool to use during reading and writing.

Messenger Bag -  can easily tote a laptop or a couple of books, hold their other essentials (a notebook, pens, tissues, snacks, etc.).  and make any downtrodden writer feel reasonably fashionable, too!

Erasable Pens - Writers think that they need more notebooks, but what they really need are more pens. Allows the creative thoughts to flow freely!

Book Light - Thank goodness book lights exist, and especially for late night inspirations!

Writer's Socks - There is almost nothing better than keeping your tootsies toasty while writing and socks referring to writing are the best!

I hope you find this list useful! Choose one of these thoughtful gifts and that special writer will know just how much you care!
