Sweet Inspiration Link Party #138

Happy New Year everyone and hope you had a great time during the holidays and welcoming 2019! With the new year comes changes and you'll be seeing a few in the coming weeks here at our Sweet Inspiration Link Party! We will miss having Michelle @ A Crafty Mix co-host with us and wish her the very best! For now, all of us are so excited to have you join us! It's our One Hundred and Thirty-Eighth Sweet Inspiration Link Party! Yay!

The party starts on Fridays 7am EST or 11 am GMT and runs until Tuesday. By joining us every week you will be able to grow your blog and gather inspiration from so many others who link up to our party. We hope you will join us every week to share and inspire with your projects and creations.
We will be visiting all of you who link up with us and sharing, pinning all that good stuff. We really do appreciate your visits.

And now onto our features! Since we didn't have a party last week, each of us selected two of our favorites to highlight this week!

After the holidays I hate to remove everything and leave a bare house. It makes me so sad. This epsom salt luminaire idea by Mila of Mila's Little Things, is great! It has a sweet wintery feel and it makes the home feel warm and cozy. https://milaslittlethings.com/2016/12/epsom-salt-luminaries.html

I live in a house with lots of small rooms so when I saw this post by Kathryn of the Dedicated House, I knew it was perfect for me. I need all the help I can get to make my rooms look larger! http://www.thededicatedhouse.com/6-surefire-ways-make-small-room-appear-larger/

I need to try this technique. I think it would be perfect on furniture surfaces or trays. Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S gives us a full tutorial https://freshvintagebylisas.blogspot.com/2018/12/how-to-paint-buffalo-check-plaid-red-on.html

Look at those mason jars! They are so cute!!! For sure I'm going to try this next Christmas. You can find step by step instructions at Mason Jar Craftshttp://masonjarcraftslove.com/mason-jar-santa-suit-cozy-with-duck-tape/

I absolutely love the way this drop cloth tree skirt turned out. According to Lisa from the Purple Hydrangea, it was a bit of a pain to put together, but I think it was well worth it! https://www.thepurplehydrangea.net/drop-cloth-tree-skirt-with-pom-poms/

I love using my slow cooker, especially in the winter. It makes cooking so easy! So, I love these ideas from Patrick over at Looney for Food for unexpected slow cooker uses. I'm definitely going to be trying a few of these in the very near future! http://www.looneyforfood.com/layouts/work-with-me/about-looneyforfood/

Naush @Doodle Buddies shares four ways to alter glass bottles! Just perfect for upcycling those throw-a-ways anytime of the year!https://doodlebuddies.net/2018/12/11/four-techniques-to-alter-a-glass-bottle/

Maya @ The Little Treasures shares her awesome crochet techniques in a tutorial for making a beautiful flower edged scarf! Great for gift giving or just making one to wear! Now, if only I could actually learn how to crochet! https://thelittletreasures.blogspot.com/2018/12/diy-flower-edged-crochet-scarf.html

Before we get to the Most Popular Post, we'd like to give an
Honorable Mention to Danielle @ A Sprinkle of Joy for sharing her pregnancy journey with us week after week! Congrats to you and your new baby, Danielle! https://www.asprinkleofjoy.com/2018/12/pregnancy-update-week-37.html/

Our most popular post was by Simply Beautiful by Angela who reminisced about her old home's Christmas decorating in 2014 and 2017 and decorating thoughts of Christmas in her new home.
