How cool are these fun cream cheese sugar cookies decorated as Christmas lights. I'm not much of a pastry baker but every now and then will try out a recipe! Recently, I was intrigued by an adorable picture and recipe of cookie light bulbs I saw on Pinterest. They looked quite pretty and unique - perfect for Christmas - so I decided to give it a try for our Festive Christmas Ideas Blog Hop! Little did I know that making beautiful and delicious cookies for the holidays isn't all that easy. At least these weren't!

Oh my word these are ADORABLE - too adorable to eat! Love that even the string is edible. What a fun sweet treat gift idea too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie! Yes, they're great to make for kids! Sugar overload!
ReplyDeleteThese would look so cute on a dessert table. I can also see this as a great way to keep the kids busy with a project during a holiday party.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Erlene! You're right! I can see having a kids' party and making some of these. I think they would go crazy with the licorice laces. There are so many of them in a package!
DeleteLove the edible light string, so cute. I agree these cookies likely weren't so easy to create with all those little candy edges. But they are so cute and cheerful. Pinned
ReplyDeleteThanks, Leanna! Yes, I had to grab a chair for this one. I usually stand but this one wore me out! Lol!
