It's Day 7 and it's all about the Hot Cocoa Bar!

Brrr, baby it's cold outside! And what better way to warm up those chilly bones than to sip on hot cocoa! That's where having a permanent, Hot Cocoa Bar during the cold, cold days of winter comes in! A readily available, serve yourself, anytime kind of set-up! Simple and casual! And made just for the two of us!

It's quite a lot of fun setting up a Hot Cocoa Bar.  You probably already have most of the items you'll need. The main ingredient of a Hot Cocoa Bar is of course, cocoa! Here's a basic lists of what's needed:
  • Cocoa - have basic flavors like Hersey's Dark Cocoa plus your choice of gourmet flavors such as White Chocolate and Peanut Butter Brownie. There are so many wonderful choices!
  • Warm milk or hot water - have a hot dispenser to keep things nice and hot
  • Toppings - Whipped cream, marshmallows, peppermints, meringue drops and flavored syrups, just to name a few!
  • Stirrers/spoons - Pirouline wafers, cinnamon sticks, candy canes

Have fun decorating with handmade containers like these round glass snowmen filled with mini marshmallows and peppermints!

Or how about taking a clear plate and decoupage with holiday napkins to hold some yummy meringue drops .  .  .

Or include repurpose items like this beaded snowflake decorative container to hold special treats or even the cocoa!
And don't forget a sign to make your cocoa bar setting memorable!

Once set up, enjoy hot cocoa while watching Christmas movies, wrapping presents or reading a good book - or just about anytime!

  1. Gail, that is so cute! I set out a hot cocoa spot too. I have cute snowman mugs for us to use and a frother to froth the cocoa. Quite fun. Love all your ideas!

  2. Lots of cute details - the snowman containers are really clever. My problem is the candy is disappearing off of mine BEFORE the hot chocolate lol
